Sneaking Into Amusement Parks

It's been ages since I've done It's Ok Thursdays!!

It's ok....

+ that my friend & I snuck into a children's amusement park

Let me explain. My friend, Sara, works at Idlewild. She told me we could go into the park the way the employees go in & just tell the guy at the gate that we were there to pick someone up.

We parked & we decided to ride the old rollercoaster first. When we got in line, we held our purses so that you couldn't really see our wrists.

Now that I'm telling you this, I kinda feel like a bad person....

So anyway.

Rode the rollercoaster without anyone noticing we didn't have wristbands ü

We then decided to ride the Round Up.

We were feeling adventurous so we rode it again. However, as we riding it the second time, the guy running the ride kept looking at us suspiciously.


I don't know if we were paranoid or if he really did notice but didn't say anything but we decided to leave just so we didn't push our luck.


Successful at sneaking in, riding rides, & leaving without anyone noticing ü 


Moving on.


Oh wait, after Sara & I were done being rebels we got ice cream then took 1549357 pictures.

Seriously. I see all these fabulous outfits when reading blogs & it makes me want to go out & buy new clothes.

"Nope, I Don't Get Sick On Spinny Rides"

That's what I told my friend Julie yesterday when she asked me if I get sick on rides.

This week is my town's annual fair so Julie & I decided to spend our Tuesday night there.

We bought pizza & funnel cake, played games, talked to people we knew... the things that all people do at the fair.

I got the bright idea that Julie & I should ride one of the rides.

The one we chose was a contraption for two people to sit in, and in the middle was a disk that we used to spin ourselves.

Julie & I were spinning just fine -- not too fast, not too slow.

Well, the guy running the ride didn't think so....

Every time Julie & I would go around, the guy would give us a push that caused us to spin even faster.

This went on for 5 minutes!

Well let's just say, once I got home, the food that I ate didn't stay in my stomach.

Moral of the story, I'm never riding the rides at the fair again.

Moving on!

Today, I want to ask you a favor.

If you could keep the Swank/Sauer family in your prayers, it would be greatly appreciated.

Yesterday, we got some news that my parents' boss's son-in-law passed away after collapsing while playing basketball with his friends.

He had hit his head on concrete & they were going to do brain surgery but he never made it.

He was only 35 years old.

I knew Pete for about 6 years & he was always such a nice guy.

4th of July Recap

Hey there pretty lady!

I hope you had a lovely 4th of July :)

I know I sure did.

Nothing really too eventful happened.

Anthony worked on our rc trucks for most of the afternoon.

& I took pictures. Lots of them.

I promise you he's not always grumpy [even though every picture I take of him, he looks like he is].

It's a Beautiful World We Live In

It really is.

Have you ever taken the time just to stop & look at what's around you?

Last night, as my dad & I were driving back from picking up wings & burgers from The Main Event, I was looking out the window & saw how beautiful the sky looked.

It was around 7:30 & the sky was a shade of pinkish-red & it me realize how beautiful our world truly is.
